McDonald's announces first seasonal drink in more than 5 years with Cinnamon Cookie Latte - USA TODAY

Move over pumpkin spice.

While the fall flavor is still in full season at Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' and other chains, McDonald's announced Thursday that it will add its first new seasonal beverage in more than five years with the McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte.

The fast food giant also is bringing back its McCafé Donut Sticks with a new chocolate dipping sauce.

Both items will be available for a limited time, starting Nov. 6 and throughout the holidays, along with new winter-themed holiday cups, McDonald's shared with USA TODAY.

The new coffee drink will be served in hot and iced lattes and a small latte will be $2.

McDonald's describes it as a "craveable beverage is made with the sweet taste of cinnamon, stirred with milk and freshly brewed with 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified espresso."

The last seasonal drink McDonald's introduced was the White Chocolate Mocha in 2013.

McDonald’s first launched Donuts Sticks nationwide for a limited time in February.

The sticks – crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside – are sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and served warm. Customers can order six or 12 at a time and they will only be available during breakfast.

The addition of the chocolate dipping sauce was "customers’ most requested wish," McDonald's said in its announcement.
