Daimler AG (DAI.XE) said Tuesday that it will pay its employees up to 597 euros ($652.89) as part of a profit-sharing plan, and pay a one-time recognition bonus of EUR500.
Daimler has had a profit-sharing program for employees since 1997.
The past year was challenging, and Daimler wants to recognize its employees' efforts with an additional bonus, the car maker said.
The maker of Mercedes-Benz said the bonus applies to about 130,000 nonmanagerial employees in Germany.
Separately on Tuesday, Daimler reported a swing to a fourth-quarter loss.
