CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office announced the name and autopsy information of a man who was shot and killed at the Firehouse Block Apartments on Warren Street on Saturday.
Terrence Isaiah Wigglesworth, 28, a homeless man with several prior criminal incidents and interactions with Concord police, was killed around 11:30 a.m.
According to police, dispatch, witnesses, and scanner chatter, a caller from the complex called police accusing Wigglesworth of banging on the door of an apartment and then, hearing gunshots. Police and firefighters responded to the building and found Wigglesworth suffering from a gunshot wound on the fourth floor of the complex, according to Kate Giaquinto, the director of communications for the attorney general's office.
"Earlier today, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie V. Duval conducted an autopsy on Mr. Wigglesworth, and determined that the cause of his death was a single gunshot wound to his chest," she said. "Dr. Duval concluded that the manner of his death is homicide. As used by the office of the chief medical examiner, homicide is defined as the killing of one person by another."

Giaquinto said the case is still under investigation with police eying "the potential of a self-defense claim." The tenant of the apartment who shot Wigglesworth was reportedly cooperating with the investigation.
Wigglesworth, who was originally from Pennsylvania, and previously lived in Concord and Pittsfield, had countless interactions with police in the city during the past eight years.
On Friday, he was served with no trespass paperwork from the building after another incident as well as a store on North Main Street, according to dispatch. He had previously been trespassed from downtown businesses due to theft allegations and charges.
Police reported seeing him on Storrs Street, wearing boxing gloves, and hitting signs and vehicles in the Capital Shopping Plaza. Police served him with the paperwork, according to scanner chatter.
According to court documents, Wigglesworth was found guilty of theft by unauthorized taking and criminal trespass charges on Thursday in Cheshire County Superior Court as part of a plea after being arrested on burglary and other charges in Keene in November 2020. His sentence was suspended for three years, upon good behavior, and counseling and treatment.
Wigglesworth pleaded guilty to drug charges in Merrimack County Superior Court in February 2020 after two incidents in Concord. He was facing a violation of probation or parole accusation in superior court after another incident in Concord in August 2020. Wigglesworth was also previously charged with theft, resisting arrest or detention, criminal trespass, and unlawful possession.
Anyone who was in the area of 46 Warren Street between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m., and who may have information related to this incident is encouraged to call Concord Police Department at 603-225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100.
