TWICKENHAM, London -- England's Jamie Blamire became the first forward in his country's history to score a try in four consecutive Tests as his side claimed an emphatic 32-15 victory against Australia at Twickenham on Saturday.
England were dominant against the Australians but failed to capitalise on many of their chances in the red zone, however, accurate kicking from Owen Farrell and Marcus Smith took them to their second win of this autumn series.
Australia's points all came from the boot of James O'Connor, who converted five from five to keep the visitors in the game.
It was Australia who took the first points after O'Connor calmly slotted the ball over in the fourth minute, but England responded immediately, with Steward spotting a gap in the defence to score his first international try.
England's lead was extended by successful penalty kicks for Farrell, but O'Connor slotted three further scores to keep the deficit to four. Despite a yellow card for Australia's Tom Wright on the 29 minutes, given for a no-arms tackle on Jamie George, the score was left 16-12 at the break.
Australia began the second half as they did in the first, reducing the deficit to one. But their efforts were marred by another yellow card, this time for Angus Bell.
Farrell's and Smith's boot extended England's lead to 10 shortly before replacement hooker Blamire ended all doubts as he went over in the 80th minute secure the win for the hosts.
England will play World Champions South Africa in their final Autumn test next Saturday.
