Kohl’s Corp. will pay $220,000 to settle Federal Trade Commission claims it failed to give identity theft victims their complete transaction records, the agency said.

Kohl’s failed to provide the information within 30 days of receiving a request from an identity theft victim as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the FTC said in a statement. The settlement marks the first time the FTC used its powers under that law’s Section 609(e).
